Quick Review: Inception (Dir/Wri Christopher Nolan)

I've been waiting for this quite a while. And Oh. My. Word it did not disappoint. I've always admired Christopher Nolan. His films always take the audience on a journey with the characters, it's what I like to call, Active Narrative. Instead of just sitting idly watching what unfolds, you are taken into the story and you are encouraged to think about what is going on. He did it with Memento and he's done it again with Inception.

This film is what I feel epitomises escapism (which is basically what film is) Nolan had this genius idea in which to base a film around dreams. Thus giving him a completely blank canvas in which to let his imagination paint what can only be described as an absolute masterpiece.

Mind shattering visuals only enhances our journey into a 3 tiered adventure of the dream world.

And this is where I draw this brief review to a close. Because I don't believe my words will do this film any justice what-so-ever. This really has to be seen to be believed.

Stunning. Mesmirising. Outstanding. A work of art that will no doubt go down in film history as one of the true greats. This is Concorde of the film world.

My favourite film so far? (In a mere 20 years of existence) Without a shadow of a doubt. I will struggle to find a better film.
